01 / OVERVIEW

A small first step.
Consistent client configuration.

The Bootstrap Service provides lightweight configuration metadata used by Maps Platform applications during initialization.

Responses are designed to be cacheable and contain no user-identifying information. One bootstrap request supplies the defaults and metadata needed to prepare a client.
